Uranium Prices are Going Nuclear

Editorial Feature | March 12, 2024

Surging demand… constrained supply… and soaring prices have aligned to spark uranium’s breakout.

Discover why uranium’s bull run may only just be getting started…

And learn how Hertz Energy Inc. (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) is positioned to capitalize on this skyrocketing market.

For decades, nuclear energy has been the overlooked step-child of the energy market.

But now, it’s stepping back into the spotlight.

Driven by geopolitical shifts… legislative actions… and a growing demand for clean energy, nuclear energy is seeing an incredible resurgence worldwide.1

And uraniumthe fuel source behind nuclear power – is rising exponentially. Both in price and demand.

Don’t just take my word for it…

Uranium’s “Third Bull Market” Set to Shine in 20241

“Uranium Is Finally Running Hot, and Miners Can’t Keep Up”3

“Supply risks fuel uranium’s flight to more than 16-year peak.”4

In the following report, I’ll explain how uranium’s bull run may just be getting started and how investors can potentially get a piece of the action with Hertz Energy Inc. (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF).

You’ll discover how Hertz Energy has strategically acquired a new uranium project – called Cominco – in Nunavut, Canada…

And how the new project has not 1, but 2 advanced exploration-stage showings – positioning the company in the perfect place, and at the perfect time for the expanding uranium market.

I’ll also share how Hertz Energy’s high-potential uranium asset complements its existing portfolio of lithium projects – providing investors with another opportunity to ride the accelerating momentum of clean energy metals.

But that’s not all…

This junior exploration company also owns the worldwide rights to a ground-breaking, eco-friendly lithium processing method – one that uses less energy, costs less money, and takes less time… and is just as effective!

In fact, this tech could radically change the way lithium is processed… and potentially become the preferred extraction technique for lithium all over the world.

More on that in a minute…

First, let me show you why uranium’s bull run is being called…

“A Once-In-A-Generation Opportunity for Investors”5

Uranium prices are heating up as nuclear energy gains momentum worldwide.

The price of uranium is at its highest level in 16 years. It’s up 100% from its 2023 low, and more than QUADRUPLED since 2020.6

What’s more…

The World Nuclear Association projects demand for uranium in nuclear reactors will climb 28% by 2030, and could nearly DOUBLE by 2040.8

Why the big surge in demand?

Because nuclear energy is the perfect complement for wind and solar – a zero-emission power source that produces 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

⮑ You see, wind and solar are intermittent power suppliers.  They only generate electricity when the sun is out or the wind is blowing. Nuclear energy, on the other hand, is a dependable source of clean energy that provides power without interruption – i.e. when wind and solar are not available due to weather.9

In fact, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reports that the global goal of net zero can only be reached by 2050 with nuclear energy.10

Net zero needs nuclear power,” the IAEA statement said. “Nuclear power emits no greenhouse gasses when it is produced and contributes to energy security and the stability of the power grid, while facilitating the broader uptake of solar and wind power.”11

That’s why the United States and more than 20 other countries – including Canada (the world’s second-largest uranium producer), France (a global leader in nuclear energy), the United Kingdom, and Japan (which suffered the devastating nuclear accident at Fukushima) – recently agreed to TRIPLE nuclear power by 2050.12

But there’s a problem…

Western nations are facing a severe uranium supply crunch.

You see, after an earthquake and tsunami caused the nuclear meltdown at Fukushima in 2011, many nuclear power projects were canceled.13

Japan closed 46 out of the country’s 50 reactors. Germany announced plans to shutter all of its 17 nuclear power plants. Belgium confirmed plans to exit the industry entirely. And Spain and Switzerland decided not to build new nuclear plants.14

Between 2011 and 2020, some 48 GWe of nuclear capacity was lost globally as a total of 65 reactors were either shut down or did not have their operational lifetimes extended.15

The price of uranium then plummeted, falling from $72 a pound in January 2011 to below $18 a pound in November ‘16.16

The drop in price left the market in shambles.

It was no longer economically feasible to continue mining. Exploration projects were halted . And mines were left idle.17

In fact, the amount of dollars spent exploring for and developing new discoveries fell almost 80% between 2011 and 2020.18

“We had a huge supply chain before the Fukushima crash sort of wiped out the market,” said Daniel Poneman, the former chief executive of Centrus Energy Corp, a US nuclear fuel company.19

The market fallout resulted in the U.S having to tap Russia as a primary uranium supplier.20

Today, Russia provides 12% of the U.S.’s uranium21 – enough to power 1 in 10 homes… something the White House is desperate to change.

According to a senior White House administration official, the U.S.’s reliance on Russia for uranium is a “critical threat to our national security”… and the assistant secretary for nuclear energy said it’s “gravely concerning”.22

To repatriate the nuclear cycle back from Russia’s control, the U.S. House recently passed the “NO RUSSIA” Act:

  • National Opportunity to Restore Uranium Supply Services In America Act of 2022.

As a result, the U.S. is looking to its western allies, like Canada, to fill the supply gap.

Indeed, Canada is in a prime position to supply the soaring demand…

The nation is the world’s second largest producer of uranium23. Plus, it has the largest uranium-producing mine on the planet.24.

And Hertz Energy Inc. (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) has just made a strategic acquisition here to capitalize on the uranium bull market.

Cominco: Hertz Energy’s Advanced Exploration-Stage Uranium Project

Hertz Energy recently acquired the prospective Cominco property in Nunavut, Canada to capitalize on the growing demand for uranium.

The Cominco property has two main showings of interest – the Pomie and Yon showings.

Together, these areas have over 5,000 hectares of favorable geology!

In fact, the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) identified mineral potential for uranium, and found that the layering of sedimentary rock in the Cominco area is similar to those found in the uranium-rich Athabasca and Thelon basins…

⮑ The Athabasca basin is best known as having the world’s highest-grade of uranium26, and the world’s largest producing uranium mine27.

⮑ And approximately 160 million pounds of uranium has been defined in the Thelon basin to date.

… Further strengthening Hertz Energy’s potential for major, high-grade lithium deposits.

Previous exploration of the Cominco region in the 1970s encountered high-grade uranium mineralization up to 5.512% U3O8 at Pomie. While samples at Yon revealed uranium grades up to 0.456% U3O8.28

To put those figures in perspective, the global average grade of uranium deposits is around 0.1%29… grades of 0.1% to 0.5% are generally considered “high-grades”30… and above 0.5% are the highest-grades…

Meaning, Hertz Energy could be sitting on some very, very high-grades of uranium that could offer investors an immense upside potential.

Kal Malhi, chief executive officer of Hertz Energy stated,

  • The company has also locked down a portfolio of high-potential lithium properties and…
  • It’s secured worldwide rights to a new lithium processing method…

Giving it a powerful one-two, clean energy punch for investors.

In fact, Hertz Energy’s new processing technology could be the most profitable investment of them all…

Less Energy, Less Expense, Less Time, More Lithium

The current method of extracting lithium from spodumene concentrate — the lithium bearing mineral removed from hard rock formations known as pegmatites — is very energy intensive.

It requires multiple steps… Including putting the spodumene through the calcination process at 1100 degrees Celsius,  followed by an acid baking process at 250 degrees Celsius.

⮑ To put that in perspective, that’s around the temperature of lava, which generally comes between 800 and 1200 degrees Celsius.

As you can imagine, an immense amount of energy is required to heat rock to that temperature, as well as needing heavy chemical consumption!

Plus, there are a whole host of issues working with heat so high, as it can instantaneously ignite organic matter.

However, until today, we haven’t had a choice.

The crystalline structure that spodumene is found in simply doesn’t allow for efficient leaching. The structure must be altered before the lithium can be extracted — and, to date, the method of changing the crystalline structure has been through superheating it.

Penn State’s new innovation — licensed by Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) — can avoid all of that.

How is this done?

By experimenting with different reagents, Dr. Rezzae — lead researcher on the project — was able to replace the energy-intensive ‘calcination’ step above.

Instead of heating the spodumene to 1100 degrees Celsius, the team found you could get the same results by ‘roasting’ at 325 degrees Celsius with a reagent — the best one being sodium hydroxide. That’s similar to the difference in power between cooking a pizza in a specially-built brick oven, and heating one up in your microwave.

Only in this case, the new method produces results at least as good as the traditional.

‘Microwave-assisted’ chemical roasting can extract up to 95% of lithium from spodumene, using less time, energy and chemicals than traditional methods.3

With some tweaks, the Penn State team has reached a ~99% recovery rate – that compares favorably with traditional processes.

… But the energy and cost savings are enormous!

Before this new tech enters mass adoption, Hertz Energy wants to prove its utility on their own projects.

In fact, this could be a crucial value unlock for investors.

You see, Hertz has multiple high-probability projects in some of the most lithium-rich areas of the Americas. Such as…

  • The Arizona Pegmatite Belt,
  • Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Belt,
  • AND two lithium projects in the hottest lithium district in the world, James Bay, Quebec.

Because at its heart, Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) is an exploration company.  And with a well-diversified portfolio, it can offer investors multiple possible ways to win.

James Bay: The World’s Newest Lithium Hotspot

The James Bay district in Northern Quebec is quickly transforming into a global lithium powerhouse – rapidly becoming the destination of choice for companies tapping into the lithium bull market.

In fact, it’s home to major market giants like Patriot Battery MetalsRio Tinto… and Albemarle31… just to name a few!

And now, it’s home to Hertz Energy.

Hertz Energy has TWO district-scale projects in James Bay – the AC/DC lithium project and the Snake lithium project.

Bordered by Rio Tinto’s Kaanaayaa Lithium project, the AC/DC project consists of 516 contiguous claims totaling approximately 26,581 hectares.32

What’s more, it’s just 16 miles from Patriot Battery Metals MAJOR discovery at its Corvette property – which has been confirmed as the LARGEST LITHIUM resource in the Americas to date… and the 8th largest in the world!33

And with less than 4 exploration days under its belt, Hertz Energy’s AC/DC project is already looking promising.

  • Initial fieldwork discovered at least 7 pegmatite dykes up to 100 meters long containing lithium indicator minerals.
  • One outcropping spodumene pegmatite is an exceptional 100m x 10m x 5m in size.
  • And the property’s geology mirrors Rio Tinto’s adjacent lithium project.

The identification of multiple advanced pegmatites with lithium-associated minerals, along with its similar geology to the Kaanaayaa Lithium project, is very encouraging and provides Hertz Energy strong confidence to continue exploration.

Hertz Energy CEO & Director, Kal Malhi stated, “The theory that James Bay is a world class lithium district is proving to be true with many new discoveries being announced around the Patriot Battery Deposit. We are very pleased with exploration results from our AC/DC Lithium project that Hertz acquired…34

Hertz Energy’s second project in James Bay, the Snake Lithium project, consists of 424 continuous claims, totaling approximately 21,700 hectares.

The Snake Lithium project is encircled by up-and-coming companies with prospective lithium results.  This includes Harfang Exploration, Brunswick Exploration, Quebec Precious Minerals and Ophir – all of which have announced drill programs that have either commenced this winter or will begin in early 2024.35

Hertz Energy’s two projects in James Bay could offer significant upside-potential in this rapidly growing lithium market.

Apart from James Bay, Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) has two additional lithium projects…

The Arizona Pegmatite Belt Keeps On Giving

Until relatively recently, Arizona wasn’t known as a hotbed of lithium exploration.

It is now.

That’s because some of the largest hard-rock lithium deposits in North America have been found in a largely unexplored belt of pegmatite that extends from about 30 miles northwest of Phoenix, sweeping up through Arizona.

The area has long been known to contain lithium. The first lithium mine there started operating right after World War II.4

However, at the time, lithium wasn’t in great demand. It was used in a few niche applications — but it wasn’t a linchpin of the global economy the way it is today.

That’s why the area went largely undeveloped for so long. There wasn’t the demand to sustain a buildout of the known lithium deposits.

The story is different today. The U.S. is now the number one country in the world for investment in lithium exploration.5

Lithium is required by nearly every tech device.

It is the crucial element we depend on for a clean energy future — powering EVs, and storing periodic renewable energy like wind and solar in batteries for later use.

Its use has grown so much, everyone is rushing to the Arizona lithium pegmatite belt to find the next great lithium deposit…

In fact, Arizona was ranked in the TOP 5 in the Fraser Institute’s 2021 global rankings for mining investment.36

And Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) owns the rights to 939 hectares of land in the middle of the Arizona Pegmatite Belt.

The project, named Lucky Mica, was acquired to follow-up on its historically demonstrated lithium potential… which returned recent surface samplings of up to 3.485% lithium!

↪To put that in perspective, a 2% lithium concentration is usually a solid, profitable find.37

What’s more, the historical samples are similar to recent, nearby results.

  • The Lucky Mica Project is adjacent to Patriot Lithium’s Wickenburg Project. The Wickenburg Project has already shown “significant lithium anomalies” — with some early drilling results showing pegmatite containing up to 5.88% lithium.38
  • Also nearby, Arizona Lithium has found 320,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE), and as a result, its market cap increased to over $50 million!39

2023 exploration of the Lucky Mica Project found 3 additional targets (in addition to the previous 7) with mineral deformation.

So this could be your chance to get a piece of the action – before drill results hit the ground for the Lucky Mica Project.

Speaking of potential wins, Hertz Energy has locked-up a fourth project in Brazil’s highly coveted “Lithium Valley”.

Nearly 3,000 Hectares In Shouting Distance of Sigma Lithium’s Brazil Property

Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) has optioned the mining rights to the Patriota Lithium project in Minas Gerais, Brazil (no relation to Patriot Lithium in Arizona).

These 2,964 hectares are located  28 miles from the largest hard-rock lithium deposit in the Americas — the find that catapulted Sigma Lithium into the majors.

This part of Brazil — “Lithium Valley”— is one of the richest known sources of hard-rock lithium anywhere.

That’s why Hertz’s acquisition of a project in this lithium-rich geology is such a coup. It expands the company’s footprint, diversifies its holdings, and gives the team another chance to show off its superior lithium processing method.

Look at Hertz Energy Today

So let’s recap…

Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) could offer investors a well-diversified portfolio to capitalize on the massive clean energy transition.

First, the Company recently acquired the Cominco property, which has favorable geology similar to that of the uranium-rich Athabasca basin – known for having the world’s highest-grade of uranium40, and the world’s largest producing uranium mine41.

Hertz already has 2 advanced exploration-stage showings there with an aggressive exploration program planned.

↪This comes at a time when the price of uranium is at its highest level in 16 years, with demand expected to climb 28% by 2030, and nearly DOUBLE by 2040.42

Next, Hertz Energy owns the worldwide rights to a ground-breaking, eco-friendly lithium processing method – one that could radically change the way lithium is processed… and potentially become the preferred extraction technique for lithium all over the world.

And what’s more?

To further maximize the lithium boom – Hertz Energy has not 1… but 4 lithium projects located in some of the most lithium-rich areas of the Americas. Including…

  • The Arizona Pegmatite Belt,
  • Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Belt,
  • AND two lithium projects in the hottest lithium district in the world, James Bay, Quebec.

Now, as always, before investing in this or any resource stock, do your own due diligence…

But if you’re looking for a company with a portfolio of high-potential projects in two of the hottest energy markets – with potentially ground-breaking technology to boot – this could be it.

Take a look at Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ,OTCQB:HZLIF) today.
